QLD:$900m spent on Qld reconstruction

About 900 million dollars of the 6.8 billion dollars earmarked for the reconstruction
of Queensland after summer's disasters has been spent.

The Queensland Reconstruction Authority on Wednesday briefed a state parliament finance
and administration committee on its progress to date.

The authority's chief executive GRAEME NEWTON says 385 million dollars worth of projects
are complete, and another 512 million dollars' worth are out to tender or under construction.
