Fed: Australia must have nuclear power: Liberal frontbencher

A Liberal frontbencher says we must have nuclear power if we're going to cut greenhouse
gas emissions.

IAN MACFARLANE says nuclear energy has enormous potential to provide zero-emission
.. baseload electricity.

He says emissions trading and renewable energy won't do enough to cut greenhouse pollution.

Mr MACFARLANE says that's an inconvenient truth for the federal government.

He says there needs to be a bipartisan approach to adopting nuclear power .. and he
accuses Labor of having a contradictory and chaotic policy on uranium.
