NSW: Man stabbed in chest outside south Sydney supermarket

A man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after being stabbed in the
chest outside a supermarket in Sydney's south last night.

The 26-year-old man was at the checkout of a supermarket on Moate Avenue in Brighton-Le-Sands
when he was approached by a man about 9.30pm (AEST).

The men began to argue .. before taking the altercation to the footpath outside the supermarket.

During the argument the 26-year-old Brighton-Le-Sands man was stabbed in the chest
and is now in a stable condition after surgery.

The other man was last seen running east on Princess Street towards the Grand Parade.
