Qld: ABC female staff to be interviewed as part of cancer probe

Experts investigating an incidence of breast cancer at Brisbane's ABC studios .. say
information should be collected on all women who've worked at the site .. in the past
11 years.

The ABC's released its first progress report into the incidence of cancer at its headquarters
in Toowong .. in Brisbane's inner west.

The review was launched .. after it was revealed 12 women who worked there had been
diagnosed with breast cancer since 1995.

The report says while it hasn't yet established whether the number of cases of breast
cancer is greater than might be reasonably expected .. more investigations are needed.

ABC managing director MARK SCOTT says all recommended studies will be undertaken as a priority.
