Fed: Skilled vacancies down 0.1pc in December - DEWR
Official figures show vacancies for skilled workers have fallen for the fourth month in a row.
The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations says its skilled vacancies indexhas fallen 0.1 per cent in December to 111.3 points.
But overall, skilled vacancies are still 7.7 per cent higher than at the same time last year.
Vacancies for professionals are down while vacancies for tradespeople are up.
On a state by state basis, skilled vacancies are up in Western Australia, Tasmaniaand New South Wales but down in the other states.
